Neighborhood Network Centers (NNC)
“Equipping families with skills they can use as a bridge to their future.”
Springfield Metropolitan Housing Authority (SMHA) received a grant to establish the Neighborhood Networks Center at Lincoln Park (1900 Huron Ave., Springfield), which is commonly referred to as NNC throughout this website. NNC serves Lincoln Park and SMHA residents, as well as the surrounding community.
NCC, an outreach of SMHA, is established to provide computer access, advance technical literacy, prepare and assist with employment placement/advancement, and help bridge the digital divide for Lincoln Park and SMHA youth and adults, as well as other community residents. An on-site service coordinator provides community supportive services, such as referrals for adult job training/placement, budgeting/credit repair, emergency services, parenting classes, and educational workshops. NCC is also one of the host sites for the Project Choice program.
NCC has an open computer lab with a Jobs Corner, featuring local job postings, computer use, resume services, and job search/application assistance (provided by the lab coordinator).
Lab hours: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
