Family Self-Sufficiency Program

SMHA Family Self Sufficiency (FSS) Program

FSS is designed to help SMHA families to overcome obstacles as they strive to achieve self-sufficiency. The FSS program focuses on such areas as education, job training, job placement assistance as well as other supportive services to address other family needs.

To begin the FSS program, you will meet with SMHA staff to develop your own personalized service plan by setting goals and working towards self-sufficiency. A participant will sign a contract of participation, and an escrow account (savings held for clients until they reach their program goals) will be established when eligible.
